James Earl Carroll

Mr. James E. Carroll of Fadette passed away Monday, October 17, 2016 at Covenant Hospice in Bay Medical Center. He was 76.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 20, 2016 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Slocomb with Rev. Larry Newton officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until service time.

James was born December 24, 1939 in Geneva County to the late Auzzie and Pearlie Carroll. He was a loving family man and Papa James to his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, one brother and one sister preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife and lifelong sweetheart, Peggy Burdeshaw Carroll; one daughter, Antoinette Carroll; three sons: Randall Carroll, Al Carroll and Brad Carroll; two step-daughters: Renee Pickle (Mike) and Allison Wells (Bobby); two step-sons: Alan Burdeshaw and Greg Burdeshaw (Wendy); grandchildren: Jason Burdeshaw, Josh Burdeshaw, Hannah Burdeshaw, Cameron Wells (Ashley), Scottie Burdeshaw (Brittany), Emily Pickle, John Cody Burdeshaw, Alli Wells and Jacob Pickle; great-grandchildren: Ian and Marley; two brothers: Doc Carroll and Charles Carroll (Earleen); several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
