Howard P. Culbreth Jr.

Mr. Howard P. Culbreth Jr. passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Flowers Hospital. He was 82.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 16, 2017 in the Slocomb City Cemetery with Rev. Dicky McAllister officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Slocomb directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 12:00 noon and continuing until service time.

Mr. Culbreth was born October 29, 1934 in Geneva County to the late Howard P. Culbreth Sr. and Eunice Sorrells Culbreth.

In addition to his parents, his wife, Betty Culbreth preceded him in death.

Survivors include one daughter, Lydia Culbreth Gainous (Paul), Dothan; one son, Hal Culbreth (Julie), Dothan; four grandchildren: Celeste Gainous Ward (Brad), Suzanne Glover (Elliott), Maranne Hall (Blake) and Howard P. "Will" Culbreth IV; one great-granddaughter, Lydia Caroline Ward; one sister, Margaret Culbreth Hall (Paul); several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
