Helen Metcalf Dalton

Mrs. Helen Metcalf Dalton of Slocomb went home to be with the Lord Saturday, October 1, 2022 at her home.  She was 98.

A Graveside Service will at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, October 3, 2022 at Slocomb City Cemetery with Rev. Larry Newton and Rev. Brad Price officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contribution be made in Helen’s honor to the First Baptist Church of Slocomb, PO Box 428 Slocomb, AL 36375.

Mrs. Dalton was born November 14, 1923 to the late Ramsey Lafayette and Jimmie Lee Munn Metcalf.

In addition to her parents, her husband, Jep Paul Dalton, Sr.; daughter, Janet Dalton; grandson, Patrick Dalton; siblings: Louise Metcalf Strickland, and Neil Metcalf, all preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sons: Jep Paul Dalton, Jr. (Cecilia), and Joe Dalton; grandchildren: Erica Dalton, Tyler Dalton (Emma), Michael Dalton (Anne Farrell), and Brian Dalton (Heather); great grandchildren: Julia Dalton, Helen Dalton, and Drew Dalton; nephews: Bernard Strickland, Neil Strickland, and Ramsey Metcalf; other extended family and friends.
