Harvey Elton Peterman

Mr. Harvey Elton Peterman of Dothan, AL passed away Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Early Memorial Nursing Home in Blakely, GA. He was 83.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Hodgesville Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Redmon officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.

The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday beginning at 2:00 p.m. and continuing until service time.

Mr. Peterman was born April 30, 1937 in Houston County to the late Jim Joe and Lillie Mae Chandler Peterman. He retired from Amerigas after many years of service. Harvey enjoyed fishing and making cane syrup. His favorite time was spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Harvey was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather who will be dearly missed.

In addition to his parents, daughter, Donna Winton; brother; Fred Peterman, and two sisters: Nellie Laseter and Betty Blocker all preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Peterman; two daughters: Pamela Peterman (Evelyn), and Micki Bogart; two sons: Tony Bowden, and Robert Bowden; 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; three sisters: Martha Hanson, Ann Hazen, and Peggy Trawick (Charlie); two brothers: Harold Peterman (Hazel), and Wayne Peterman (Judy); numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
