Harold Gene Donnell

Mr. Harold Gene Donnell of Hartford passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2023 at his home. He was 93.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 7, 2023 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb with Rev. Stacy Stafford officiating. Burial will follow in the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 12:00 noon and continue until service time.

In lieu of flowers the family request that contributions be made in Mr. Donnell’s memory to Shiloh Baptist Church, 873 North Shiloh Road, Hartford, AL 36344.

Mr. Donnell was born November 1, 1929 in Geneva County to the late Fonzo and Doris Wright Donnell. Harold was a veteran of the United States Navy and retired from Michelin Tire. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his wife, Mavis Seay Donnell; two sons: Mike Donnell and Danny Donnell; grandchildren: Meghann Miller (Mike), Leala Birge (Harold), Noah Miller, Libby Miller, Macy Birge, Cade Birge, Henry Birge, and Cora Birge.
