Grady Dean Shields

Baby Grady Dean Shields passed away Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Children’s Hospital in Birmingham. He was one year old.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, January 23, 2023 at Hartford Baptist Church with Bro. Les Hughes and Rev. Tommy Giddens officiating. Burial will follow in the Hartford City Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.

The family will receive friends at the church on Monday beginning at 2:00 p.m. and continuing until service time.

Baby Shields was born January 6, 2022 in Dothan to Brandon Trey Shields and Tommie Jo Anderson Shields.

Survivors include his parents, Brandon and Tommie Jo Shields; brother, Ronald “Ronnie” Shields; Paternal grandmother, Mary Ann Dean Shields; maternal grandparents, Kenneth Charles McAnelly (Brenda Gail); uncles: Josh Shields, Jamie McAnelly (Cathy), Walter J. Anderson; aunts: Misty Robinson, Keila Anderson Maxwell (Shelby), and Tara McAnelly.
