Frances Goodman Howell

Mrs. Frances Goodman Howell, aged 93, a cherished resident of Hartford Health Care, gracefully departed from this life on Thursday, March 5, 2026. Her journey on this earth was one marked by love, faith, and the warmth she shared with all who had the privilege to know her.

A graveside service honoring her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, in the Slocomb City Cemetery, with  Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.

Born on August 4, 1932, to the late Oscar and Willow Yon Miles, Frances exemplified steadfast faith as a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Slocomb and held dear her role within the Lydia Sunday School Class. Her beliefs shaped not only her life but also the lives of those around her, inspiring many with her unwavering commitment to her faith.

Frances now rejoices in eternal peace, preceded in death by her beloved son, Leonard Goodman. Yet, she leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and cherished memories carried on by her surviving family, who will continue to honor her spirit and the profound impact she had on their lives.
