Flora Coker

Mrs. Flora Coker of Dothan passed away Monday, April 24, 2023 at her home. She was 88.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at New Teamon Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Lee Chorn officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Coker was born August 10, 1934 in Geneva County to the late Christopher and Matilda Reeder Butler. Flora was a lifetime member of New Teamon Baptist Church where she served in many capacities. She also volunteered with the Alzheimer’s Association. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family. Mrs. Coker was a loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed.

In addition to her parents, her husband, Willie J. Coker, and son, Edward Earl Coker preceded her in death.

Survivors include her son, Billy Steve Coker; grandchildren: Amanda Smitherman, Cole Coker, Carly Coker, and Jesse Coker (Kendall); great grandchildren: Henderson Smitherman, Rossi Coker, Alex Ann Coker, and Charlianna Coker; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
