Evelyn Ballard

Mrs. Evelyn Hundley Williford Ballard of Dothan passed away Saturday, September 5, 2015 at her residence. She was 94.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Monday, September 7, 2015 in the chapel of Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Dothan with Reverend David Williford and Reverend Rick Glenn officiating.  Burial will follow in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Slocomb directing.  The family will receive friends at Southern Heritage Funeral Home beginning at 9:00 am and continuing until service time.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to the Memphis Baptist Church Building Fund at 4595 Eddins Rd., Dothan, Alabama 36301.

Mrs. Ballard was born August 8, 1921 in Geneva County to the late Jesse and Ida Anderson Hundley. She was a member of Memphis Baptist Church as well as an avid Auburn fan.

In addition to her parents, two husbands: Robert Fisher Williford and James Ballard; two brothers: W.D. Hundley and James E. Hundley;  two sisters: Ann Saunders and Annette Hundley;  and one great-granddaughter all preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sons: David Williford (Donna), Nashville, TN and Freddy Williford (Iris), Dothan; two daughters: Sandra Glover (Jimmy), Hartford and Beth Avery (Wayne), Slocomb; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
