Eva Lynn Mcallister

Mrs. Eva Lynn McAllister of Slocomb passed away Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Flowers Hospital.  She was 57.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb with Rev. Phil Baxley officiating.  Interment will follow in the Immanuel Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until service time.

Mrs. McAllister was born March 15, 1965 in Gwinnett County, Georgia to Lester and Vera Turner Redmon.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jamey Lee McAllister; maternal grandparents, Chester & Martha Turner; and paternal grandparents, Russ & Bessie Redmon.

Survivors include her parents, Lester & Vera Redmon, Campbellton, FL; daughter, Jessica Smith, Geneva; step children: Matt McAllister (Heather), and Mandy McAllister both of Slocomb; grandchildren: Payton & Anna Thomas, and Reagan & Grayson Smith; sister, Teresa Redmon Bofo, Cottondale, FL; husband, John McAllister, Slocomb; nieces: Misty Ott, Graceville, FL, and Tiffany Croft, Cottondale, FL; nephew, Michael McAllister, Graceville, FL; other extended family and friends.

Michael McCallister, Hagen Smith, Timmy McAllister, Matt McAllister, Donald McAllister, Jimmy McAllister, and Doug Williams will serve as pallbearers.
