Eloise Mcneil

Mrs. Eloise Kelley McNeil of Slocomb went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 7, 2021 at Westside Terrace.  She was 93.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 10, 2021 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb, with Rev. Larry Newton officiating.  Interment will follow in the Slocomb City Cemetery with Sorrels Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continuing until service time.

The family request that flowers be omitted and memorial contributions be made to First United Methodist Church of Slocomb or Encompass Hospice in memory of Mrs. Eloise.

Mrs. McNeil was born March 18, 1928 in Geneva County to the late Annie Griffin and Claude P. Kelley. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Slocomb and retired from Geneva County Schools in 1984.

In addition to her parents, her husband Hubert McNeil and seven siblings preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children: Nancy Tew (Scott) Edgewood, NM, Randy McNeil (Debbie) Wilmington, NC; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and other extended family and friends.
