Eloise Brunson

Mrs. Eloise Brunson of Hartford passed away Tuesday, January19, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 93.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 22, 2021 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb with Rev. Ricky Hall officiating. A private interment will follow in the Hartford City Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 10:00 a.m. and continuing until service time.

Mrs. Brunson was born September 24, 1927 in Hartford, AL to the late Green and Cora Smith. She was a dedicated member to her church, Hartford Baptist Church. Mrs. Brunson was an excellent artist and cook. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and the Hartford Community.

In addition to her parents her husband, Allen Burl Brunson; four brothers: Reuben Smith, Junior Smith, Robbie Smith, and Rex Smith all preceded her in death.

Survivors include two daughters: Cheryl Sue Cox and Carol Cobb (Bill); three sons: Rex Brunson (Peggy), Michael Brunson (Debbie), and Dennis Brunson (Marie); 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; sister, Carol Melloray Simmons (Edward); several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
