Earl Johnson

Mr. Earl Johnson from Wicksburg passed away Thursday, April 25, 2024 at his home. He was 82.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at Wicksburg Assembly of God Church with Rev. Benny Lindsey officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.

The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday beginning at 2:00 p.m. and continuing until service time.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to FUMC Ruspite Care Ministries, 1380 West Main Street, Dothan, AL 36301 in Mr. Johnson’s memory.

Mr. Johnson was born April 11, 1942 in Enterprise to the late Bride and Minnie B. Johnson. He was the founder and owner of Diamond J. Trailers. Earl was a strong family man and loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly. Mr. Johnson will be dearly missed by those who loved and knew him.

In addition to his parents one brother, James Johnson preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Margie Gilley Johnson; two sons: Tony Johnson (Michelle), and David Johnson; grandchildren: Courtney Dow (Jordan), Brady Johnson (Madison), and Aunna Johnson; great grandchildren: Hunter Dow, Walker Dow, and Turner Dow; brother, Paul Johnson (Alida); other extended family and friends.
