Dorothy “Jean” Dorriety

Mrs. Dorothy “Jean” Dorriety of Slocomb passed away Friday, October 5, 2018 at Flowers Hospital.  She was 85.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, October 8, 2018 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb.  Interment will follow in the Slocomb City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 2:00 p.m. until service time.

Mrs. Dorriety was born March 27, 1933 in Geneva County.   Jean loved her family dearly, enjoyed spending time with them, and will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred Bell Quattlebaum and her husband, Emmett H. Dorriety.

Survivors include her children: Greg Dorriety (Robyn), and Shirley Shoupe (Lynn); grandchildren: Tory Hargrave (Walter), Todd Dorriety (Meghan), Kasey Roney (Nathan), Austin Dorriety, Cody Dorriety, Brittney Dorriety, Jennifer Sullivan (Johnnathan), and Jonathan Shoupe; eleven great grandchildren; and other extended family and friends.
