Crystal Gayle Jernigan Smith

Mrs. Crystal Gayle Jernigan Smith of Slocomb passed away Friday, November 13, 2020.  She was 42.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb.  Interment will follow in the Burns Assembly of God Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service time.

Crystal was born September 1, 1978 in Houston County. She graduated from Dale County High School in 1997 where she was a member of the Color Guard.  She was a caring, loving, and joyful wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.  Crystal never met a stranger and you could not help but to be drawn to her.  She was very blunt and would tell you like it was which endeared her to so many. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.  Fly High with the Angels!

She was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Dansby.

Survivors include her husband, Sedrick Smith; children: Saige Jernigan, Paige Jernigan, and Dakota Jernigan; grandchildren: Daquaris Reynolds, Jr., and LaDarius Reynolds; mother, Deborah Dansby Tentzohua (Santiago); siblings: Jamie Warr, and Kenneth Jernigan; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
