Connie M. Carnes

Ms. Connie M. Carnes of Slocomb passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Flowers Hospital.  She was 52.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 30 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Slocomb with Rev. Terry Glover and Rev. Teddy Ward officiating.  Interment will follow in Union Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.

Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to the family.

Ms. Carnes was born February 15, 1962 in Orange County, FL to Earl Carnes and the late Thelma Lois Middlebrooks Carnes. She was a very loving, caring person who unselfishly gave her time as a volunteer to the Geneva County Food Pantry. Connie enjoyed life and loved to "Go" especially to the beach. She was a proud mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Thelma Lois Carnes; grandmother, Rosie Middlebrooks and uncle, Robert Griffin.

Survivors include one daughter, Kelly Baker (Joe), Hartford; one son, Ryan Singletary (Brandi), Malvern; grandaughter, Katie Baker; her father, Earl Carnes, Slocomb; brothers: Tim Carnes (Erika), Sneads, FL and James Carnes (Cindy), Slocomb; nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
