Mr. Billy Max Hutto of Wicksburg passed away, Friday, July 7, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family.  He was 79.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 10, 2017 at Christian Home Church of Christ with Ministers: Jason Bennett, Jack King and Mark Turner officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Slocomb directing. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 and continuing until service time.

The family request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Christian Home Church of Christ 463 West US Hwy. 92, Newton, AL 36352 or Wicksburg Volunteer Fire and Rescue Dept., 5340 Judge Logue Rd., Newton, AL 36352.

Mr. Hutto was born July 25, 1937 to the late William T. and Hattie Roberts Hutto. Billy was  employed as an aircraft mechanic at Ft Rucker until his retirement, served on the Wicksburg Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad for 25 years and was a member of Christian Home Church of Christ. He will be profoundly missed by all of those who knew and loved him, above all by his dear family.

In addition to his parents, brothers: James, Jackie and Lester Hutto; and a grandson, Jeremy Brad Thomley all preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia "Gayle" King Hutto; daughters: Wanda Hutto Seals (Ted) and Rhonda Hutto Thomley (Kenneth); son, Steven J. Hutto (Janet); nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks for all the love and care provided by Kindred Hospice and their nurse Christe Harpe.
