Billy Harlan Cobb

Mr. Billy Harlan Cobb, age 80, of Wicksburg, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at his daughter’s home, surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 30, 2026, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home with Reverend Tim Simmons officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing. Interment will follow at Wicksburg Assembly of God Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Cobb was born on September 18, 1945, in Hartford, Alabama, to the late David and Myrtle Cobb. He enjoyed playing his guitar and singing, as well as fishing, farming, and coon hunting. Above all, he took great pride in his work as a lineman with Wiregrass Electric for 54 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Elizabeth Ann Cobb and two great grandchildren: Rylan and Khloe.

He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Cobb Brannon (Jonathan); his sons, Hal Cobb (Michele) and Lee Cobb (Julie); five grandchildren, Skylar Chadwick, Taylor Wofford, Leann Svoboda (Philip), Ashley Cobb, Ty Cobb; many great-grandchildren; siblings, Neal Cobb, Janice Shepard, and Carol Culverhouse; as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to ACG Hospice, especially his nurses, Audrey and Kiva. They also extend heartfelt thanks to everyone who visited him, including his Wiregrass Electric family.
