Betty J. Williamson

Mrs. Betty J. Williamson of Slocomb passed away Friday, September 17, 2021 at Flowers Hospital.  She was 82.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb with Rev. Lee Chorn officiating.  Interment will follow in Whitaker Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time.

Mrs. Williamson was born February 23, 1939 to the late Alvie D. and Versie Braswell Johnson.

In addition to her parents, a brother, Eudon Johnson preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children: Karen Williamson, Kathy McSwain, Judy McSwain, Sandra Williamson, and Larry McSwain; sister, Martha Beckworth; grandchildren: Elliott Williamson (Ashley Dean), Eric Williamson, Marty Williamson, Latasha Ivey, Sonia Joiner; as well as many other grandchildren; and other extended family and friends.
