Mrs. Betty Rapelje of Newton passed away Saturday, May 15, 2021 at her home. She was 90.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 in Memory Hill Cemetery with Chaplain Charles Goldsmith officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.
Mrs. Rapelje was born July 8, 1930 in Winter Haven, FL to the late William and Sara Griggs Sanders.
In addition to her parents, husband, Donald Earl Rapelje; daughter, Joann Teofliok; son, Jeffrey Rapelje and sister, Bertie Mae Seale, all preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters: Linda Williams, Texas, and Cheryl Hudson (Chris), Dothan; three sons: Donald Rapelje (Pat), Blakely, GA, David Rapelje (Carol Ann), Dothan, and James Rapelje, Dothan; 12 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Beverly Brown, Tampa, FL; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
