Betty Smith Lamb

Mrs. Betty Smith Lamb of Dothan passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at her residence. She was 76.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 29, 2015 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Byrd officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Slocomb directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Mrs. Lamb was born January 28, 1939 in Geneva County to the late Cletus and Gladys Hicks Smith. She attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Betty enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, shopping and she loved watching wrestling.

In addition to her parents, her step-mother , Katie Smith preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughter, Cathy Lisenby (Rodger); her son, Jimmy Skipper (Wendy); grandchildren: Heather Skipper, Christy Skipper, Anna Thomas (William), Kelli Watford (Jeff), Dale Lisenby (Amanda) and Horace Lisenby; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Marie Butler (Gerald); two brothers: Lamar Smith (Felicia), Paron Herrington (Michele)  and other extended family and friends.
