Annette Wood

Mrs. Annette Wood of Dothan passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at her home. She was 88.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, October 7, 2023 in the chapel of Sorrels Funeral Home in Slocomb with Pastor Eddie Littlefield and Pastor Thomas Harrison officiating.  Interment will follow in the Pondtown Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.

The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 pm and continuing until service time.

Mrs. Wood was born May 26, 1935 in Geneva County to the late Simon Pinkney and Katherine Hutto Miller. She enjoyed cooking, tending her flower gardens, and was a woman of faith. She was a member of Dothan First Assembly of God Church and will be dearly missed.

In addition to her parents, her husband, Fate Wood; brothers: Charles Miller, Rudolph Miller, Paul Miller, and Rex Miller and other extended family all preceded her in death.

Survivors include daughters: Sandra Glass, and Kelli Wood; son, Steve Wood (Angie); seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Hilda Mae Elmore; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
