Mrs. Maudrine Fulford Barrett of Hartford went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, July 30, 2020 at her home.  She was 93. 

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, August 3, 2020 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb.  A private interment will follow in the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service time. 

Mrs. Barrett was born September 1, 1926 in Geneva County to the late John C. and Nettie Williams Fulford.  Maudrine was a great woman of faith and member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church where she served on several committees.  She was a simple farmer’s wife who doted on her only child and she enjoyed taking care of the elderly.  She will be dearly missed. 

In addition to her parents, her husband, George Washington Barrett; son, George Mitchell Barrett; siblings: Grace Skinner, Maxine Barrett, Bobbie Carr, Richmond Fulford, Dot Childs, Gillette Fulford, and Albert Fulford all preceded her in death. 

Survivors include her granddaughter: Micki Bobe; great grandchildren: Karyn Adkison (Shane), and Brian Roberts (Lyndsy), and Scott Hendrix; great-great grandchildren: Addilyn Hendrix, and Cole Michaels; sister, Jeanette Williams; many nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
